Meet Dr. Suganya Appugounder

Dr. Appugounder earned her Doctor in Dental Medicine from Boston University, followed by a general practice residency and a four-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. With experience in private practice and as adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota, she further specialized through a Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

A board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Appugounder is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a published author. She has performed over 200 “All-on-4” arches in the past year and remains dedicated to advancing her field.

Currently serving the Fayetteville, NC, community, Dr. Appugounder balances her clinical work with her role in the U.S. Army Reserves, where she has served for over 10 years. Guided by integrity and compassion, she strives to provide the highest standard of care.
